It’s so easy to take beautiful weddings for granted when you do what I do. It’s only now as I’m sitting here in lockdown, working with this summer’s couples to arrange postponing their special day that I’m looking back on my last wedding of 2019 and reminiscing about that time when no-one had even heard of COVID-19.
If someone had told me then that Kate & Sean’s wedding would have been my last for likely a whole year, well I wouldn’t have believed you – and I wouldn’t have left! Yes, weddings are long and pressured days for us wedding photographers – but man I miss it like crazy!
What made this one even more special for me was that Kate & Sean had been recommended to my by their friends, previous Bride & Groom of mine Imogen & Gareth – you can see their wedding here! It’s always so lovely to know that my couples recommend me to others, and it’s great to see past couples again at other weddings too!
Somerset Wedding Venue
So I thought now would be a great time to share some of my favourites from this wonderful day. Kate & Sean had the most gorgeous weather for their September wedding at the most stunning venue, Quantock Lakes in Somerset. With almost 200 acres to play with, there were plenty of photo opportunities here! I would highly recommend Quantock Lakes – not just a fab venue with stunning grounds, but fantastic accommodation options too. It was great to have all the wedding party and lots of the guests staying and getting ready on site. They even enjoyed a hot tub or two!
