Intimate Wedding at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London
In September, I had the pleasure of photographing Juno and Max’s wedding at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park in London. This luxury 5-star hotel and wedding venue offers an exceptional mix of elegance, history, and beauty. It’s ideal for any couple looking to tie the knot in the heart of London. If you’re considering a London venue with both indoor grandeur and outdoor photo opportunities, the Mandarin Oriental wedding venue is a perfect choice. Juno & Max’s celebration highlights all the reasons why!

Preparations in the Spacious Bridal Suite
The day began with Juno getting ready in one of the spacious suites at the Mandarin Oriental. This room provided ample light and space, therefore creating a relaxed atmosphere as she shared special moments with loved ones. Natural light flooded the room, creating the perfect setting for capturing beautiful bridal preparation shots. For photographers, these suites offer the ideal conditions to capture soft, naturally-lit photos, perfect for showcasing those precious moments before the ceremony. What more could you ask for?

Ceremony in the Exclusive Loggia with a Royal Entrance
Juno and Max’s ceremony took place in the Loggia, one of the Mandarin Oriental’s most unique spaces. With its private entrance facing Hyde Park and iconic red carpet—often used to welcome visiting royalty—the Loggia added an extra touch of grandeur to their intimate gathering. The Loggia offers a beautiful setting for wedding ceremonies because of its light and elegant interiors.
Adding to the ambience was a string trio, Blue Topaz, who played throughout the day. Their music perfectly complemented the refined setting, creating an elegant soundtrack to this special occasion. For couples interested in a venue that provides unique ceremony spaces along with luxurious surroundings, the Mandarin Oriental’s Loggia is a remarkable choice.

Couple Portraits in Hyde Park
After the ceremony, guests gathered on the terrace for drinks. Meanwhile, Juno and Max slipped away with me for their couple portraits in nearby Hyde Park. The Mandarin Oriental is one of the few London venues where couples can enjoy a garden-like setting for portraits within walking distance, because of its proximity to the park. Photography in the Royal Parks does require a permit, which the venue had kindly arranged in advance for us. This small detail made the portrait session seamless, letting us focus on capturing authentic moments in a relaxed, natural setting.
A September Sunset
As the end of September brings shorter days, we were treated to a beautiful early golden hour just before our portrait session wrapped up. The soft, warm light filtering through the surrounding buildings created an enchanting backdrop and allowed us to capture some stunning images before returning to the reception.

Intimate Wedding Breakfast and Heartfelt Toasts
Back at the Loggia, the room had been elegantly transformed for the wedding breakfast. Although the Mandarin Oriental offers a grand ballroom with capacity for 400 people for larger celebrations, Juno and Max’s intimate gathering fit perfectly in the Loggia, with a capacity of 70. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, they enjoyed a warm and cosy dinner, punctuated by the elegant music of Blue Topaz. The evening concluded with heartfelt speeches and a cake-cutting. Juno and Max opted to forgo the conventional first dance in favour of a more relaxed close to their celebrations. I love when couples do their own thing, instead of forcing traditions!
