groom reads his vows as bride looks at him at indoor ceremony at chapel house estate in kent

Chapel House Estate Wedding with Ollie the dog!

Nestled in the picturesque landscapes of Ramsgate, Kent is Chapel House Estate. This gorgeous Kent wedding venue stands as a timeless backdrop for weddings filled with love and charm. Last October, I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful union of Rosey and David – my second time here. Their Chapel House Estate wedding day was a delightful blend of personal touches, heartfelt moments, and a touch of whimsy that made it truly unforgettable.

Remembering Loved Ones: Butterflies and Sentimental Touches

In honour of Rosey’s late father, butterflies graced every corner of the celebration, symbolising his enduring presence and love. Rosey had explained to me that with every important moment since his passing, there had been white butterflies around. Even down to a serendipitous encounter with a white butterfly during their first venue viewing! How incredible indeed. Delicate embellishments featured on the bride’s robe and veil, each fluttering visitor serving as a poignant reminder of cherished memories shared.

Tears of Joy: Emotional Reveals to Nan and Bridesmaids

Before the ceremony, Rosey shared a heartfelt reveal with her beloved nan, a moment brimming with tears of joy and generations of love. Later, as she unveiled herself to her bridesmaids, emotions ran high as laughter and tears mingled in a beautiful display of sisterhood and friendship. These intimate reveals added layers of tenderness and connection to an already unforgettable day.

A Pawsitively Adorable Addition: Ollie Takes the Spotlight

As a Kent wedding photographer, I’ve witnessed many heart-warming moments, but none quite as charming as Ollie, the couple’s beloved furry friend, stealing hearts as he strutted down the aisle in his dapper groomsman outfit. Rosey and David’s decision to include Ollie in their special day not only added to the joyous atmosphere but also inspired future couples to embrace the idea of incorporating their furry companions into their wedding celebrations.

Indoor Elegance: Personalized Vows in the Old Granary Barn

With Chapel House Estate offering numerous outdoor ceremony options, Rosey and David’s choice of the Old Granary Barn for their indoor ceremony lent an air of rustic elegance to their nuptials. Against the backdrop of weathered beams and soft candlelight, the couple exchanged personalized vows, weaving promises of love and devotion that resonated throughout the intimate space.

Sweet Sentiments: A Delectable Twist on Tradition

Among the many highlights of the day, the unconventional wedding “cake” stole the show. Rosey and David opted for a delectable assortment of their favourite sweet treats, including cookies, brownies, and more. It was a delightful departure from convention, reflecting their unique personalities and shared passions.
