Baddow Park House Wedding Photography

Essex Wedding Venue

Looking for an opulent wedding venue in Essex for a romantic countryside wedding? Baddow Park House would be a great choice.

I specialise in capturing authentic moments on a wedding day. My wedding photography style is natural, informal and, above all, about capturing the day as it unfolds. Baddow Park House is a great location for creating natural, informal photos. After all, everyone looks photogenic when they’re having a good time!

Bridal Preparations

There are a few rooms upstairs at Baddow Park House that can be used for wedding day preparations in the morning. On the day of this wedding, the bride was getting ready in the main bridal suite at the front of the house. It was flooded with natural light, and provided a great vantage point to see guests arriving before the wedding ceremony – which only added to the excitement of the morning!

An alternative to the rooms in the main house would be The Salon, a self-contained preparation space away from the main house. A great option if you fancy a good hearty breakfast in the morning, because The Salon has it’s very own kitchen space too. The choice is yours!

Outdoor Wedding Ceremony

On Laura & Josh’s wedding day the weather was bright and sunny, so of course the wedding ceremony was to be outside in the Pavilion. I absolutely love photographing outdoor ceremonies! There’s more space, more light, and the beautiful grounds at Baddow Park House made for a stunning backdrop. There’s also a really pretty walkway adorned with climbing plants leading from the main house towards the outdoor ceremony pergola.

However, if an outdoor ceremony isn’t for you, you can choose to marry in either the Oak Room which seats up to 50 guests, or the Drawing Room which seats 80.

Group Photos

There are lots of really pretty locations for wedding group photos at Baddow Park House, so we were spoiled for choice! This wedding day was bright and sunny, so we chose a shaded area so guests would not be squinting in the sun.

Pro Tip: Group photos under the trees will be better in harsh light!

Drinks Reception at Baddow Park House Weddings

With free-flowing bubbles and some of the most delicious looking canapés I’ve ever seen, the team at Baddow Park House really hit it out of the park for Laura & Josh’s patio drinks reception last summer. What better way for family and friends to mingle, catch up and celebrate the happy couple? Surely there’s nowhere better than a private country house in the middle of the Essex countryside.

Evening Wedding Reception

I’ve definitely saved the best for last here. My absolute favourite thing about Baddow Park House is the wedding breakfast and evening reception space. A truly beautiful glass house with canopy ceiling and tons of natural light flooding in – a photographer’s dream! From dinner to speeches, first dance and the party, this space can do it all.

Psst… There’s even an Art Deco bar!
