Romantic Winter Wedding in London – Routemaster Ride & Iconic Landmarks
There’s something incredibly special about a London micro wedding in winter. Alice and Ernest’s February celebration had that perfect mix of elegance, intimacy, and iconic city backdrops. From a heartfelt ceremony at Trinity House to portraits by Tower Bridge, every moment felt considered and full of love.

A Grand Ceremony at Trinity House, London
Trinity House is one of London’s hidden gems for weddings. Tucked just moments from Tower Hill, it offers a calm, refined setting right in the heart of the city – but step inside, and it feels anything but understated.
The ceremony takes place in an opulent, light-filled room with high ceilings, elegant detailing, and a real sense of occasion. It has an almost royal feel to it, without ever feeling overwhelming. For a smaller wedding, it strikes that perfect balance – intimate, yet still incredibly impressive.
Alice and Ernest’s ceremony felt relaxed and personal, with just their closest people present. That’s what I love most about micro weddings – there’s space to truly connect. Every glance, every laugh, every quiet moment feels amplified. As a photographer, it’s a dream to capture.
I’ve had the pleasure of photographing another wedding here before (John & Joe’s London destination celebration, which you can read about here), and it’s a venue that consistently delivers. No matter the season, it always feels timeless, elegant, and effortlessly special.

Couple Portraits at the Four Seasons & Tower of London
After the ceremony, we stepped outside for portraits – and this is where London really showed off. Alice had got ready at the nearby Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square, which gave us the perfect excuse to use its beautiful architecture as a backdrop.
We then explored the area around Trinity House, making the most of those classic London views. With the Tower of London and The Shard in the distance, the setting felt both iconic and effortlessly stylish. February light can be soft and flattering, and it worked perfectly for relaxed, natural portraits.

A Classic London Bus Ride to The Ivy Tower Bridge
One of my favourite parts of the day? The red Routemaster bus waiting to take everyone across the bridge. It’s such a fun, quintessentially London touch and made the whole experience feel even more special.
Their reception was to take place at The Ivy Tower Bridge, just on the other side of the Thames. While I was only there for a short time, it was clear the celebration continued in style. Think great food, flowing drinks, and that cosy, joyful atmosphere that comes with a smaller guest list.
More Iconic Portraits with London Landmarks
After the Route Master bus ride across Tower Bridge, we took a few more moments for portraits on the other side of the river. The change in perspective gave us a fresh feel to the images, with a slightly different energy as the day relaxed into the evening. It’s always worth building in a little time for this—those extra few minutes often create some of the most memorable images of the day.
