A Vibrant and Cultural Northbrook Park Wedding in Hampshire

There’s something truly special about photographing weddings where personality, culture, and style all come together seamlessly – and Sophie & Saif’s June celebration at Northbrook Park in Farnham was exactly that. From emotional private vows to Krispy Kreme doughnuts, this day had it all.

Modern Bridal Party Trends for Your Dream Wedding

Let’s talk bridal party style! Sophie’s crew embraced the current trend of mismatched dresses, and it’s safe to say I am *fully* on board. The bridesmaids wore a dreamy mix of pinks, reds, and greens. I’ve seen this trend popping up more and more lately – it gives everyone a chance to shine individually while still looking cohesive in photos. Stylish, modern, and a little bit unexpected? Yes please.

Emotional First Look and Private Vows

Before the ceremony, Sophie & Saif shared a first look – a private, heartfelt moment away from the guests where they also exchanged personal vows. More and more couples are choosing to do this, and it’s a lovely way to ease any pre-ceremony nerves, connect with each other one-on-one, and make space for some truly intimate photographs. Plus, it doesn’t take away from the magic of walking down the aisle – if anything, it adds to it. This modern couple decided to take that walk towards married life together!

Northbrook Park Wedding Ceremony Space

The ceremony room at Northbrook Park is an absolute dream to photograph – full of natural light, charm, and elegance. With large windows on either side, the space is beautifully bright all day long (music to a photographer’s ears!), and the focal point is the iconic stone fireplace where couples exchange their vows. It’s timeless and romantic, and works wonderfully with everything from minimalist floral designs to more elaborate ceremony setups. Whether you’re planning a summer celebration or a winter wedding, this room offers a picture-perfect backdrop for saying “I do.”

Fusion Wedding Food at Northbrook Park Wedding: Indian + Italian Perfection

With Sophie’s Italian roots and Saif’s Pakistani heritage, their day was a vibrant celebration of both cultures. I especially loved how this was reflected in their food choices – a proper feast! Guests were treated to Indian-style canapés and starters by Laguna Catering, followed by a stone-baked pizza buffet by Dough&Deer. I mean… two of the best cuisines in one wedding? Yes, I was a very happy photographer! And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better – the dessert was a towering display of Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Need I say more?

Wedding Portrait Locations at Northbrook Park

Northbrook Park is a dream of a venue for couple portraits. With its expansive grounds, beautiful walled gardens, and that golden evening light? It’s a photographer’s heaven. This Grade-II listed building is a dry-hire venue, which gives couples complete creative freedom to personalise every detail – and Sophie & Saif made full use of that, creating a day that was unmistakably *them*. If you’re planning a wedding here, definitely factor in some time for sunset portraits – it’s always worth it.

Outfit Changes and Dancing the Night Away

After their first dance, Sophie & Saif switched things up and changed into their evening outfits – a fab way to get comfy and party-ready. Sophie’s custom-made white mini dress from Etsy was an absolute show-stopper, and perfect for dancing (and spinning!) the night away. Saif also changed into something a little lighter, and together they hit the dancefloor with full energy and big smiles.

  • Kind Words

“Shelby is an absolutely amazing photographer! We fell in love with her portfolio and she has been so kind and professional since we contacted her. We had an engagement photoshoot in London 6 months before our wedding, which was such a great experience to get to know her and practise posing and taking photos! This really helped on the big day! For our wedding, Shelby captured so many beautiful moments. The photos look magical and gorgeous and she managed to edit over 1000 photos in less than a week!!! I could not recommend Shelby enough, if we were getting married again we would definitely ask her to be our photographer again ♥ “
