As a wedding photographer, I’ve had the opportunity to capture many beautiful love stories of couples on their special day. Today, I want to take you through a memorable summer wedding at the charming Blake Hall Wedding Venue in Essex. Let’s dive into the magical moments and vibrant atmosphere that made this wedding truly unforgettable.

Blake Hall Wedding Venue in Essex
Blake Hall’s picturesque setting amidst gardens and ancient oak trees provides the perfect backdrop for a dreamy summer celebration. The stunning rose garden is just a short walk from the main lawn and terrace, creating an opportunity to steal a few moments away from your guests for some intimate couple portraits together.

The Hay Barn
Alexia & Omer opted for an indoor ceremony, which at Blake Hall takes place in the Hay Barn. Beautifully restored with beams lining the aisle, the Hay Barn provides a contemporary yet intimate setting, creating an atmosphere of warmth and romance. Surrounded by their loved ones, the bride and groom exchanged loving glances and heartfelt vows. I captured the stolen glances, the tender smiles, and the tears of joy as they said “I do”.
The Essex Barn
Another gorgeously restored 17th-century barn is where you can hold your wedding breakfast and evening entertainment. With seating for up to 150 guests, this barn offers the convenience of dining, bar and dancefloor under one roof.

Greece & Turkey Come Together in Marriage
This summer Blake Hall wedding not only celebrated the union of two individuals but also beautifully intertwined rich cultural heritages. The bride, with her Greek background, and the Groom hailing from a Turkish heritage. The blending of these two cultures symbolising the power of love to transcend boundaries and unite different backgrounds. It was a testament to the beauty of cultural diversity and the ability of love to bridge any gaps, making the day even more memorable and captivating for all in attendance.
Once Alexia was ready, her family and bridal party all took part in a Greek/Cypriot tradition involving a smoke blessing called ‘Kapnistiri’ and a red scarf being passed around the waist to symbolise fertility. This was something I hadn’t seen before but was a really special moment to capture!

Golden Hour Couple Portraits
As the sun began to set, casting a golden hue across the venue, I stole a moment with the newlyweds to capture some final portraits. The radiant glow of the sun enveloped them as they embraced amidst the sprawling gardens and tree-lined path.
