Chiddingstone Castle Wedding Inspiration

This Chiddingstone Castle wedding styled shoot was put together by Photography Farm and Rebecca Carpenter for a group of other photographers, which I was lucky enough to be a part of.

The shoot was designed to bring a little of the luxury and colour of a tropical destination wedding to the quaint Kentish countryside. Quite apt at this time when destination weddings can’t really happen at the moment!

Kent Castle Venues

Chiddingstone Castle is a truly gorgeous venue with such ample variety of backdrops for photographs both inside and out. A real wedding here would be amazing! We were also blessed with some fantastic details (full credits at the bottom of this page) including handpainted cake and tiled biscuits, tropical florals, colourful headpieces and tassel earrings. So much inspiration!

Our stunning couple for this shoot were Periesa & Willis (“The Oromes”) – a real life married couple who just happen to be super photogenic and great models! A real couple is a must for any kind of styled shoot at the moment what with Covid-19, as you’ll obviously want some connection (hand-holding, kissing, etc.) to get really authentic images.

Bridal Fashion Editorial

As well as a gorgeous couple and beautiful details, we also had the lovely Abigail modelling some bridal looks for us. I loved the stunning dresses we were able to photograph her in – every single one would be perfect for the modern bride. My favourite part of this look was the tassled earrings from Hermione Harbutt – I just loved the movement they created!

Tropical Wedding Details

With a colour palette of mostly pink, red and yellow, this was certainly a shoot to inspire the non-traditional. Give me pink palm leaves and a gold leaf crown any day! In the year of no travel, this was just the destination wedding fix I needed.
