I can’t believe I’m only just getting round to sharing this amazing beach engagement shoot with you all! It’s no doubt one of my favourite shoots to date.
Beach Engagement Shoot in Kent
The location for our shoot was Botany Bay, one of the most quiet and secluded beaches in the whole of Kent. It was the beginning of golden hour, so the sun was getting low and just starting to set. But on the journey from Maidstone I was so worried about the weather. It was grey and miserable when I left for Broadstairs, and I drove through a fair bit of rain at first. But as I got closer and closer to our destination the road started drying out, the sky was brightening up, and suddenly the clouds began to part revealing a beautiful blue sky! I couldn’t believe our luck.
Just when I thought this shoot wasn’t going to get any better, Lucy & Charlie turned up looking like MODELS. They were naturals in front of the camera as well! Hardly any direction needed, just a dream to work with. Not to mention we got to play with smoke bombs! This was so fun, despite the beach breeze. I’ll admit maybe it was a little too windy on the coast, but we gave it a good shot!
With a stunning location and such a wonderful couple, I’m sure you’ll see why this beach engagement shoot is one of my favourites. I can’t wait to photograph Lucy & Charlie’s wedding in July at Farnham Castle!
